Do you know ?

because of cancer they remove the whole stomach,pancreas,gallbladder,l... intestine due to the advanced developments in the medicine field.for example if they remove the large intestine the water will not absorbed from the waste materials(feacal matter) .if they remove those organs then which will do the functions of those organs?i have read in books that due to the removal of the stomach ,intestine(because of cancer)people are able to develop anemia due to unability of the absorption of the vitaminB12 ,folic acid .
Answer:
Yes thats right but there must be something else in medical studies that support this theory and if it were that we could find another way of functioning without the cancer by removing organs, then i guess thats the only way. I dont think they would remove them if it were to endanger someones life.
the body is meant to have all its parts, living without a whole body is a challenge for the patient and the doctors who care for him.
heard the same about gastric bypass surgery.
First of all, just having cancer in a certain body part does not mean they just up and remove it. They always try chemo and radiation first. Removing the offending part is always a last effort and even then they never remove the whole thing, but only as little as they can.
The kind of surgery referred by you is a sort of last attempt in cases of 4+ stage cancer i.e. cancer which had spread all over. Patient undergoing such an surgery survive for few days or weeks and during such period he/she is provided with supportive care, including I.V. fluids capable of giving required energy for body functions/survival.
