Do you believe in any cancer conspiracy theory?

Answer:
Well I do not believe in a conspiracy. But there are some aspects of our economical and political system that makes harder the task of finding a cure. To approve a medicine for human use it requires a lot of testing and a lot of burocratic steps have to be taken in order to make it safe and accecible to the cancer patient. This is very good, but takes a lot of money. Only big pharmaceuticals can afford it. Therefore then the search for a cure enters the realm of businesses. Pharmaceuticals wont invest in a cure they wont be able to patent. Therefore no research or little research is done on accesible, natural or cheap and easy cures because it wont be profitable. Investigator do have the desire to find a cure. But they need the funding. No cure has been found yet. I believe it is happening like that because they are looking in the wrong places. Places big companies want them to look at.
No, there is more cancer around today b/c people are living longer. There is something to be said though for the level of pollutants we are exposed to, but that is not the whole picture. Furthermore, if our nation would consume a healthier diet rich in fruits and vegetables, and whole grains we would see a decrease in many forms of cancer that are in fact related to obesity.
No. They lack evidence and just plain ole good common sense.
No. I HAVE cancer. I found out last July and since then, I have never met a more dedicated bunch of people trying to help me beat the odds. They are willing to do anything and everything, at a moments notice. They have gone without sleep and stayed in my hospital room all night and then went to the office the next day to care for others. In their off hours, they spend it researching the newest data and treatments and trials. If you ask them why they are there, most will tell you they have lost someone very dear to them and they are determined to help that not happen to others. They care and I KNOW it! Watching people suffer and die all the time is VERY hard on them, but they do it for US!
No
No.I work in cancer research, and so does my best friend. Guess what ? She got stage III ovarian cancer and just finished her chemo. She is a patient of a very skilled gyneco-oncologist, which was a very important part in her getting better. There is no secret cure for cancer. You simply get yourself the best chance of remission by getting correctly diagnosed, having successful surgery and appropriate treatment by consulting skilled specialists.
No, because I understand what cancer is. First, it is not one disease but, hundreds perhaps thousands each defined by a specific set of genetic mutations and the cell type effected. So, one these quacks promoting a one cure for all cancers don't know what they are talking about.Second, cancer is a condition caused by many genetic mutations most if not all are accumulated during ones lifetime. There are no cures for any genetic diseases (Alzheimer's, ALS, Parkinson's, CF, etc.) now. Cancer is also a genetic disease. We just don't have the technology to reliably identify and manipulate a genome in a live human being (in vivo).
