Do you have a wheat allergy?

I just found out I might be allergic to wheat!! OMG what will I eat? How do you manage and what kind of things should I get used too? Thanks!
Answer:
I used to be allergic to wheat and gluten for 11 years (but then got healed from it a few weeks ago wooooo!).It's not bad once you get used to it. Do you think you are also allergic to gluten? If so, you will have to watch out for more stuff. Generally, look out for cereals, some processed meats have wheat, wheat starch or wheat gluten in, sauces may use flour as a thickener, cakes, biscuits, bread, pasta, pizza etc. But nowadays main supermarkets have fantastic ranges of allergy food, which often tastes nice. Also, you should be able to get things on prescription, I always preferred prescription bread rather than what you could buy in the shops. You can buy nice cakes and biscuits, and also they are lovely to make when you find a flour you like. The main issue is eating out, but as long as you're prepared, you'll be fine. Some restaurants have gluten free menus (though not many), but if you tell the staff in advance or when you get there they may be quite accommodating. Hope this is helpful!
